Carpe Diem

The sun sets and the day ends
But the uncertainty of life lingers on
It was just another day, just as insignificant as the rest
I didn't give it my best

I'll have another chance tomorrow
Or will I?
I do not wish for my life to be filled with sorrow
But I shall keep my promise and won't lie

One day, like a feather, I'll slip away
To join the midnight sky
In the company of million little twinkling stars, I shall sway
Such a beautiful way to die

Wish I could rewind
Erase the slate
And rewrite my fate
I do not wish to repent

Carpe diem my friend and that'll suffice
Only fools search for the clandestine of life
One has only a moment and must make sense of the present
For joy is copious and so is misery
And the latter we must not resent

The balance of pain and pleasure
We must treasure
Don't be a loon
And do what makes your heart bloom

Carpe diem my friend
Carpe diem!
