AI Dating and the Loneliness Epidemic: Why Real Connection Feels Impossible in 2025

Image
“The great irony of our time is that we are more connected than ever, and yet more alone than ever.” — Stephen Marche Remember when we used to joke about people falling in love with Siri or calling their Alexa “babe” for fun? Yeah… that joke doesn’t hit the same in 2025. We were promised flying cars. Instead, we got AI waifus. Welcome to the new age of dating — where young people are too anxious to make eye contact, ghosting is more common than "good morning" texts, and ChatGPT is being romanticized as the ultimate boyfriend. We’ve officially entered the era where it’s easier to pour your heart out to a digital character on character.ai than to have a 30-second conversation with someone at a party. Or, you know, at the grocery store. (If anyone still goes to those.) But how did we get here? The Loneliness Epidemic: More Than Just a Buzzword Let’s talk about the real elephant in the room — loneliness . Not the "I need a cuddle" kind of lonely. The deep, chron...

Will Gen AI transform religion?

Sacred Scrolls to Smart Screens  Can Gen AI transform religion? Maybe not in soul, but definitely in how we experience it. From AI-guided meditations to robot priests already popping up in parts of the world, technology is quietly stepping into the sacred. For Gen Z and Gen Alpha, spirituality doesn’t have to be something you seek out, it can now come to you via a chatbot, hologram, or smart mirror. Faith becomes more accessible, less intimidating, and maybe even fun. But let’s be clear: AI isn’t divine, it’s a tool. We must use it ethically and mindfully, never forgetting that it’s still just code and not a guru. The goal isn’t to replace pastors, rabbis, or imams, but to support, enhance, and gently modernize how people connect with faith, especially those who’d never walk into a place of worship but might click on one. We must balance progress with sensitivity, ensuring we don’t hurt religious sentiments or alienate conservative communities. AI can help us make religion more inc...

The Price of Instant Gratification: Is Studio Ghibli’s Art at Risk?

Image
I once heard a motto at an ice cream store: "We are slow, and slow is good."It meant they poured love and hard work into making their ice creams, slowly and with care. But in today's fast paced world, I started to wonder: Is slow really better? We live in a world of instant gratification, 10-minute deliveries, next-day Amazon packages, and if a webpage takes a second too long to load, we're already frustrated and annoyed.  This need for immediate results, has seeped into the content we consume as well. Reels, Youtube Shorts, and all kinds of bite-sized content have become extremely popular, dominating our feeds, making us crave more in less time. Our brains have almost become wired to expect instant satisfaction and results, this shift is starting to show.  In a world where everything is fast, Studio Ghibli's slow, hand-drawn art in their movies offer a rare sense of peace and tranquility. But sadly, even that peace is being threatened by the rapid rise of trends ...

Evolve With AI, Don't Fear It

Image
This is what my course on Generative AI taught me. A rising new fear in the job market today is that "AI will replace me". But let's shift the narrative for a minute here. The real change isn't in AI replacing us, it's in how we choose to evolve with it. When the software boom hit, many jobs were at risk and then too people feared mass unemployment. But those jobs didn't disappear, they transformed. New roles like software developers, software testers and analysts emerged. This was proof that disruption and change isn't an end, it's an evolution.  Now with the rise of Artificial Intelligence, it's not manual workers at risk but knowledge workers. Instead of treating it as a threat we must look at it as an opportunity to step out of our comfort zones and co-evolve with this new technology.  The future of work isn't about keeping up, it's about leading and adapting. Are we going to resist the inevitable change or use it to redefine our poten...
